Structure of The Plankton Community In Tanjung Pasir Sea Waters, Tarakan City

Tarakan City is a city that has potential natural resources to be developed. One of the areas in town Tanjung Pasir, where residents live coastal area. This study aims determine quality waters dune by using plankton community structure as water bioindicator. As research object, Plankton communities Pasir include abundance, diversity index, uniformity and dominance index. uses quantitative descriptive method with location being carried out at two points, namely Station I mangrove area II close residential areas. Sampling was conducted every days, 15 times field. The types phytoplankton found five classes, Bacillariophyceae, Coscinodiscophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Mediophyceae, Dinophycea lessons zooplankton from Crustacea class II. were classes. most abundant are Bacillariophyceae Dinophyceae because these classes dominate all kinds worldwide. abundance value at; 354 cells/l; II, it 202 cells/l. 40 ind/l, Station, 38 ind/l. index stations medium category, high category each low. Based on structure, classified lightly polluted. Environmental factors physical chemical characteristics which still suitable for life aquatic organisms.
